Continuing hope for Mali and Burkina Faso

Caritas helps small-scale farmers in Mali and Burkina Faso secure their harvests despite changing weather conditions. It raises awareness within communities about environmental and resource protection and organizes training sessions in sustainable agriculture and product diversification.

Small farmers learn how to maintain soil fertility and use organic fertilizers for their crops. In addition, locally adapted seeds are provided. By combining these practices with safe crop storage, losses can be reduced.

For 50 years, Caritas has been supporting small farming families in Mali and Burkina Faso through training programs to ensure their self-sufficiency and year-round access to food. This makes them less dependent on external aid.
